This was a gift for my teenaged nephew. He is a hunter and asked for a tripod. I couldn’t think of a better company to support!
As a full time guide and outfitter I’ve been through all the big name tripods trying to find just the right one. Finally found it here. Gives me all the stability to run big eyes hunting desert sheep but still light enough to carry up the mountain to spot shots for clients. From the desert floor to the high country this tripod does it all.
This is the lightest and sturdiest tripod ive ever used. Ive used mine to take several animals and also able to glass off of it.
The quality and durability was exactly what I hoped for. What surprised me was the incredibly smooth operation and adjustments! The twist locks on the telescoping legs take about a quarter turn to lock and unlock for adjustment and they have very positive engagement. The locking/free leg angle adjustment is a style I've never used before but I really like it. It's super simple to lock and unlock and has plenty of tension to keep a stable platform even when unlocked.
Extremely lightweight and durable. Tripod is easily deployed and built to last.
